Hazleton – Sandra Sue Olsen, 73 years old, of Hazleton, Iowa, died on Monday, December 14, 2015, at Unity Point Allen Hospital in Waterloo.  She was born on April 5, 1942, in Des Moines, Iowa.  She graduated from high school in Quasqueton, Iowa, with the Class of 1960.  On February 16, 1960, she and Roger Olsen were married in Elkader, Iowa.  She enjoyed many jobs but her favorite was working with Home Interiors and Gifts, where she combined her love of beautiful things and her talent of making relationships with other people.  After living in Aurora, Illinois for 44 years, she and Roger retired back to Iowa.

Mrs. Olsen is survived by her husband of 55 years, Roger, 1 son, Mark (Jessie) Olsen of Oelwein, Iowa, 1 daughter, Vicki (Greg) Borucki of Hazleton, Iowa, 5 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by 5 brothers, John (Chris) Connor of St. Louis, Missouri, Henry (Kim) Connor of Compton, Illinois, Gary (Diane) Connor of Sauk City, Wisconsin, Tracy (Maggie) Connor of Witwen, Wisconsin, and Scott Connor of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and 3 sisters, Vicki (Frank) Bone of Carterville, Illinois, Penne (Bob) Wildenberg of Johnston City, Illinois, and Kelle (Steve) Millard of Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by her mother and step father, Dorothy and Gary Connor.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 17, 2015, at the White Funeral Home in Independence with Rev. Scott Meador officiating.  Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Hazleton.  Friends may call for visitation from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 16th, at the White Funeral Home in Independence.
