White Funeral Home Jesup – Lee Norman Durnil, 56 yrs. old of Jesup, IA, died Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, IA. He was born October 1, 1956, in Waterloo, IA, the son of Norman Grant Durnil and Carol Lee (Allen) Durnil. He attended school in Jesup, IA, and graduated from Jesup High School with the class of 1974. He then took instruction in mechanics at Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo. On June 29, 1985, Lee was united in marriage to Rhonda Sue Masteller at the First United Methodist Church in Jesup, IA. They have made their home in Jesup where Lee operated Lee’s Towing Service and worked as a mechanic. He most recently had worked as a mechanic for Brown National Leasing in Cedar Falls, IA. Lee is survived by his wife Rhonda Durnil of Jesup; three sons, Matthew Durnil, Ryan Durnil, Chad Durnil and one daughter, Leah Durnil all of Jesup; one grandson Dalton Kennedy of Independence, IA; his mother Carol Lee Redmon of Waterloo; three brothers, Steve (Sandy) Ferguson of Cedar Falls, IA, Allen (Jodi) Durnil of Janesville, IA, Tim Redmon of Atlanta, GA; three sisters, Lynn (Doug) Bohlen of Waterloo, Lesa (Michael) Ruane of Waterloo, and Lea Ann (Tony) Wendling of Waterloo. He was preceded in death by his father, Norman GRANT Durnil; step mother, Janice Durnil; and step father, Gene Redmon. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. – Saturday, December 1, 2012, at the First United Methodist Church, Jesup, IA, with burial at New Barclay Cemetery, Jesup. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, and will continue for an hour before services Saturday at the church. |
