ROWLEY – Deitrick F. “Dick” Overmann, 56 years old of Rowley, IA, died Friday, November 16, 2012, at Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo, IA.  He was born April 4, 1956, in Waterloo the son of Frank Henry Overmann and Winifred Ann (Herzmann) Overmann.  He attended school in Jesup, IA and graduated with the class of 1974.  Dick was employed in the factory at Deere & Co. in Waterloo until his retirement.  He was a member of United Auto Workers Union Local 838 in Waterloo.

Mr. Overmann is survived by one daughter, Jenny (Tim) Cappel of Independence, IA; one son, Scott Overmann of Coralville, IA; 3 grandchildren, Austin and Ashley Cappel and Jasper Overmann; his special friend, Deb Smith of Rowley, IA, and one brother, David Overmann of Jesup, IA.  His parents preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. – Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, with Rev. Matt A. Perez, officiating.  Burial will be at a later date in St. Athanasius Catholic Cemetery, Jesup, IA.  Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 19^th at the funeral home.
