Short Notice:

Jesup – Ann E. Kennicott, 85 years old of Jesup, IA, died Saturday, October 6, 2012, at ABCM Rehab West Campus in Independence, IA.  She was born June 8, 1927, in Oelwein, IA the daughter of Charles George Grasso and Rose Marie Latanza.  She attended school in Oelwein and graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic High School in 1945.  On July 29, 1950, she was united in marriage to James Lou Kennicott in Oelwein, IA.  They have made their home in Jesup for many years and raised their family.  Ann worked for a time in the office at Rath Packing in Waterloo, IA.  She was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church in Jesup.

Ann is survived by her husband, James of Jesup; two sons, Michael (Karla) Kennicott of Puducah, KY, Tony (Sue) Kennicott of Solon, IA; two daughters, Roxanne (Dean) Masteller of Jesup, Beth (Ken) Pridgeon of Austin, TX; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; one brother, Tony (Nellie) Grasso of Hazleton, IA and one daughter in law, Kathleen Kennicott of Dysart, IA.  She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Charles Kennicott; two sisters, Mary Grasso and Dorothy Yoch and one brother, Dom Grasso.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. – Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Jesup, IA with Fr. Scott F. Boone as celebrant.  Music will be by Monica Bengston and the St. Athanasius Choir.  Casket Bearers will be Brent Kennicott, Matt Kennicott, Eric Masteller and James Masteller with Burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Tuesday October 9^th at White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA,  where there will be a Parish Rosary at 4:30 pm and Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Memorials will be directed to the ALS Foundation. White Funeral Home, Jesup, Iowa, is in charge of arrangements.
