Jesup – Barbara Ann Stafford, 77 years old, of Waterloo, and formerly of Jesup, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at Manor Care Health Services. She was born on October 10, 1934, in Waterloo, IA, the daughter of George Max Breitsprecher and Nella (Hitt) Breitsprecher. She graduated from West High School in Waterloo with the class of 1953. On May 10, 1963 she and Arlin Elmer Stafford were united in marriage in Onalaska, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on May 14, 2005.

Mrs. Stafford was a secretary for Davidson Furniture Store, McGregor Furniture Store and Standard Battery. She was also a homemaker. Mrs. Stafford was a member of Burton Avenue Baptist Church in Waterloo.

Mrs. Stafford is survived by 2 daughters, Babette (Dan) Kimball of Jesup, IA, and Laura (Mike) Redden of Lancaster, PA; 5 grandchildren; and 1 great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arlin; brother, Max Breitsprecher; sister, Virginia Haberstich; and a granddaughter, Melissa Kimball.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. - Monday, June 11, 2012, at White Funeral Home, in Jesup, IA, with Pastor Garry Moore officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Crest Cemetery, Jesup, IA. Visitation will be from 9 A.M. until services on Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial will be directed to the family.
