Rowley– Duane Gerald Burlingame, 58 years old, of rural Rowley, Iowa, died on Friday, January 6, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was born on January 9, 1953, in Emden, Illinois, the son of Gerald Duane and Goldie Joan (Aper) Burlingame. He graduated from high school in Emden. On February 14, 2000, he and the former Bonnie Rose Williams were married at the United Methodist Church in Rowley, Iowa. Mr. Burlingame ran a lawn care business, enjoyed being outdoors, and raised sheep. He was a tinkerer with all things mechanical and he was a friend of Dr. Bob and Bill W. for 26 years.
Mr. Burlingame is survived by his wife, Bonnie.
Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at the Salvation Army at 1000 C Ave. N.W. in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. His cremated remains will be buried in Bear Creek Cemetery near Brandon, Iowa.
