Brandon – Ronald Eugene Dodrill, 65 years old, of rural Brandon, Iowa, died on Sunday, October 16, 2011, at his home.  He was born on July 2, 1946, in Hebron, Ohio, the son of Theodore Ernest and Isabelle Hallie (Hill) Dodrill.  Mr. Dodrill was a parts and service director at several Ford dealerships in Illinois before moving to the area in 1995.  Before his illness, he was a recreational vehicle sales man.  In his spare time he built engines and enjoyed drag racing.

Mr. Dodrill is survived by his significant other, Gwen Bartholomee; 3 sons, Randall Dodrill of Brandon, Iowa, Brandon Dodrill of Rochelle, Illinois, and Craig Dodrill of Hebron, Ohio; 1 daughter, Barbara Dodrill of Rochelle, Illinois; and 2 step daughters, Rebekah (Brian) Gooch of Valparasio, Indiana, and Ellarie (Michael) Blickenstaff of Grad Junction, Colorado.  He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 1 sister, Loretta Snider of Hebron, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Services will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 21, 2011, at the Lighthouse Baptist Church at 300 Ralston Road, Waterloo, Iowa, with Pastor Mike Davis officiating.  Memorial may be directed to the family.
