QUASQUETON – Roberta Wilma (Wedge) Anderson, 93 years old, of Splendora, Texas, passed away July 20, 2026.

Roberta Wedge Anderson was born August 28, 1932, on a farm southeast of Quasqueton, Iowa, the daughter of William “Bill” and Gladys Wedge. She grew up the youngest of five sisters and graduated from Quasqueton High School in 1951. After graduation she moved to Chicago, Illinois. On March 4, 1952, Roberta was united in marriage to James Leroy Anderson of Manchester, Iowa. They made their home in the Chicago area and became the parents of Charles and Robert. Jim worked with the Illinois Central Railroad and Roberta was a homemaker. Years later when Jim retired, they moved back to Quasqueton. He preceded her in death in 2005.

Roberta enjoyed her time working with the Historical Society in Quasqueton for many years before she moved to Texas to be near her son and his family. She enjoyed her grandsons and the warm weather. Roberta will be greatly missed by her family and friends in Texas.

She is survived by her son, Robert (Kelly) Anderson; her grandsons, Scott, Bryan, Jamie, and Justin; her family in Iowa, Barbra Brigman of Independence, Iowa, Wanda (Greg) Hoeppner of New Hartford, Iowa, Judy Thompson of Dike, Iowa, Dewayne (Kathy) Morris of Indiana, Karen (Dale) Bolte of California, Raynard (Kate) Morris of Colorado, Richard Morris of Center Point, Iowa, and Shari (Karl) Kirkpatrick of Iowa City, Iowa.

Interment of Roberta’s cremated remains will be 11:30 a.m. – Thursday, September 24, 2026, at the Quasqueton Cemetery in Quasqueton.
