INDEPENDENCE – Brooks A. Burkhart, 88 years old, of Independence, Iowa, died Monday, July 20, 2026.

Visitation will be 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. - Friday, July 24, 2026, at the White Funeral Home, Independence.

Memorial Services will be 10:30 a.m. – Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the First Presbyterian Church with burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery, both in Independence. Visitation will continue for an hour before services, Saturday, at the church.
