Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. – Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Jesup, IA, with burial in the church cemetery. Ann was born March 3, 1936, in Gilbertville, IA, the daughter of Peter Anthony Gardner and Anna Katherine (Neisen) Gardner. She graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Gilbertville. On September 10, 1956, she was united in marriage to Richard Anthony Kayser at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gilbertville. They raised their family on a farm east of Jesup before retirement and moving to Jesup. Ann was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church; she was a 50-year member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas in Jesup and a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters in Gilbertville. She was a homemaker who also worked with her sister Doretta for many years cleaning homes. She was the youngest of the Gardner family. Ann is survived by four sons, Mike (Sheila) Kayser of Waterloo, IA, Bob (Enadene) Kayser of Ft. Pierce, FL, James (Kris) Kayser of Independence, IA, Matt (Shannon) Kayser of Gilbertville, IA; three Daughters, Patricia Tompkins of Mesa, AZ, Jane (Irvin) Weber of Jesup, IA, Donna (Jimmy) Ohl of Quasqueton, IA; 22 grandchildren,; 26 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Richard (November 29, 2012); one son Pete Kayser; two grandsons, Jeremiah James Kayser and Adam Clark Jones; one great-grandson, Oliver David Weber; four brothers, Claude, Don, Pat, and Peter Gardner; and five sisters, Rita Homolka, Lucy Duff, Doretta Menuey, Bernadette Ohrt and Petronella Pint Yarrington.
