JESUP – Jane Frances Barnett, 88 years old of Jesup, IA, died Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Winding Creek Meadows in Jesup.

Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 26, 2026, at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Jesup, with burial at St. Athanasius Catholic Cemetery, Jesup.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Wednesday at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, where there will be a Vigil Service at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Thursday at the church. Jane was born November 13, 1937, in Independence, IA, the daughter of Conrad William Amfahr and Margaret Ann (Schuler) Amfahr. She graduated from Jesup High School with the class of 1955. She attended Pitzies Cosmotology School in Waterloo and worked as a Beautician. On June 11, 1957, she was united in marriage to Ronald Gene Barnett at St. Athanasius Catholic Church in Jesup. Jane was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church in Jesup and the Catholic Order of Foresters in Gilbertville, IA. In later years she worked as a cook at Jesup Community Schools. Her passion was her family, especially the children. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, sports, cooking and baking. Having cinnamon rolls and sugar cookies available for everyone was always a priority.

Jane is survived by two daughters, Diana (Timothy) Kelly of Jesup and Brenda Weber of Jesup; two sons, Rich (Beth) Barnett of Buffalo, MN, Rob (Kelly) Barnett of Cedar Falls, IA; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Beverly Amfahr of Waterloo, IA.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2022; her parents, three brothers, Alfred, Ronald and Donald Amfahr; one sister, Eileen Fisher and her son-in-law, Dale C. Weber.
