White Funeral Home
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. – Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Jesup, IA, with burial at St. Athanasius Catholic Cemetery, Jesup. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 16,2026, at White Funeral Home, Jesup, where there will be a Parish Rosary at 4:00 p.m. Monday. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Tuesday at the church. A livestream of the funeral service will be available on the White Funeral Home-Iowa Facebook page. Memorials will be directed to St. Athanasius Church and to Cedar Valley Hospice or may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice. LouDene was born March 8, 1933, the daughter of Thomas Patrick Hogan and Wilma Katherine (Walker) Hogan. She attended Jesup schools and graduated with the class of 1951. On June 11, 1951, she was united in marriage to Claire Gilbert Neverman at St. Athanasius Catholic Church in Jesup. They made their home in rural Jesup where they raised their 11 children. LouDene and Claire enjoyed working together running their farm chemical business, Neverman Chemical Service and farming. They were involved in the Christian Family Movement in the 1950’s and 1960’s. They also made time for their family and enjoyed playing cards, traveling to the various ballrooms for dances, when possible, with friends. They also enjoyed Sunday drives to Northeast Iowa where Claire grew up. She was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church in Jesup. LouDene is survived by seven daughters, Deb Neverman of Cedar Rapids, IA, Linda (Kris) Greenwood of Ankeny, IA, Pam (Gene) Schmidt of Independence, IA, Kathy (Art) Schlumbohm of Oelwein, IA, Kim (Al) Schaffer of Troy, IL, Ann (Denis) Weber of Independence, IA, Julie (Kevin) Hoffman of Oelwein, IA; four sons, Steve (Donna) Neverman of Jesup, Mart (Sue) Neverman of Jesup, Mick (Marian) Neverman of Manchester, IA, Andy (Deb) Neverman of Martelle, IA; 27 Grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and a special friend of the family, Bev Buresh of Cedar Rapids. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claire; her parents; one sister and brother-in-law, LaDonna and Paul “Pudge” Shonka; one daughter-in-law, Janella (Ries) Neverman; and two great-granddaughters, Claire Leigh Weber and Juniper Mae Hoffman.
