Rosanne was born July 6, 1949, in Davenport, IA, the daughter of William G. Mohr and Nelda (Rostenbach) Mohr. She graduated from Davenport Central High School with the class of 1967. She continued her education at the University of Northern Iowa and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in teaching. She worked as a special education teacher at River Hills School in Cedar Falls, IA, for more than 30 years. In 1971 she was united in marriage to Russell Dean Negley in Davenport. The couple made their home in Cedar Falls, IA, where they raised their family. After retirement, they moved to Independence, to be closer to family. As a young adult, she enjoyed playing softball and golf, and was a member of the Waterloo Crew team. Later in life she liked to stay active by walking multiple times a week with her neighbors and while wintering in Florida she joined the Moose Lodge in Palmetto, FL. Rosanne is survived by her husband, Russell Negley of Independence, IA; two sons, Heath Negley of Birmingham, AL and Andrew Negley of Independence, IA. She is also survived by three grandchildren. Her parents and one brother, Bill Mohr preceded her in death. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family.
