White Funeral Home JESUP - Carol Ann Matejcik, 85 years old of Nevada, IA, and formerly of Marshalltown and Jesup, IA, died Monday, March 17, 2025, at Story Medical Senior Care in Nevada. Carol was born September 4, 1939, in Grosse Pointe, MI, the daughter of Francis Endres and Gertrude (Philion) Endres. She graduated from Grosse Pointe High School with the class of 1957. On May 11, 1963, she was united in marriage to Paul Charles Matejcik in Saint Clair Shores, MI. They made their home in Jesup, IA, for many years before Paul’s death in October 1998. Carol remained in Jesup until moving to assisted living facilities around 2008. She was a member of St. Philomena Catholic Church in Bremer, IA. Carol is survived by one son, John (Jennifer Zon) Matejcik of Dallas, TX; twin daughters, Ann (Ronald) Freeze of Ave Maria, FL and Amy (Ronnie) Snyder of Marshalltown, IA; 13 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; two brothers, Neil (Cheryl) Endres of Rochester Hills, MI, John (Missy) Endres of East Lansing, MI; three sisters, Kathie Pettit of Charolette, NC, Joan (Terry) Page of Bloomfield Hills, MI, Kay (Dennis) Zerbel of Clemson, SC. In addition to her husband, Paul, Carol was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Jeffery Matejcik in October 2023; and a brother-in-law, John Pettit. Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. – Saturday, March 22, 2025, at White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA with burial at St. Athanasius Catholic Cemetery, Jesup. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the church that Paul and Carol founded in the 1980’s.
