RAYMOND - Joyce Ann Weber, 71 years old, of Raymond, IA, died Saturday, February 8, 2025, at her home, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. – Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Gilbertville, IA, with Rev. Noah J. Diehm as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Raymond, IA.

Joyce was born September 16, 1953, in Waterloo, IA, the daughter of Carl Edward Schneider and Dolores Rose (Mangrich) Schneider. She grew up on a farm outside of La Porte City, IA, until her family moved to rural Fairbank, IA. She graduated from Don Bosco Catholic High School, Gilbertville, with the class of 1971. On November 18, 1972, she was united in marriage to Gary Lee Weber at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fairbank, IA. Together they raised their family and made their home in Raymond. Joyce worked for the U.S. Postal Service before starting her own in-home daycare service. She helped raise and cared for children in her home for 40 years, before her health caused her to retire. Even then, she still loved looking after her grandchildren and great grandchild, when the need arose.

Her family and her daycare kids were the most important part of Joyce’s life. She loved being together at family gatherings and always enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports, regardless of the season. She was a great cook – especially when it came to cookies and dressing at Thanksgiving - and when the time came to say goodbye, she was right there with a big wave to send you off. Joyce was an avid Elvis Presley fan and enjoyed multiple trips to Graceland. She loved to read, travel, and garden. Joyce was a hard worker and a loving caregiver whose determination inspired everyone. She was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Raymond.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 52 years, Gary Weber of Raymond, IA; three daughters, Sheila (Todd) Seelhammer of Waterloo, IA, Gwen (Dan) Kuper of Scotch Grove, IA, Wendy (Joe) Daiker of Nevada, IA; two sons, Eric (Stephanie) Weber of Elk Run Heights, IA, Luke Weber of Raymond, IA; 10 grandchildren, Kaley (Bryan) Close, Cole McNamara, Jordan Kuper, Trey Kuper, Jayden Kuper, Clayton (Katlyn) Weber, Carter Weber, Cahne Weber, Grace Daiker, Nevaeh Daiker; one great granddaughter, Berkley Close, with one great granddaughter on the way; two brothers, Bob (Jackie) Schneider of Fairbank, IA, Jim (Jody) Schneider of Readlyn, IA; and one sister, Linda (Norman) Delagardelle of Jesup, IA.

She is also survived by her mother – in – law, Bonnie Weber of Gilbertville, IA; two brothers-in-law and their wives, Rodney (LuAnn) Weber of Jesup, IA, Glen (Dawn) Weber, of Gilbertville, IA; and two sisters-in-law and their husbands, Janie (Jesse) Widdel of Waterloo, IA, Dixie (Lee) Harting of Gilbertville, IA; and many nieces and nephews.
