Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. - Saturday, January 11, 2025, at White Funeral Home, Independence, IA, followed by a meal at Wolfey’s Wapsi Outback in Quasqueton, IA. Celebration of Life Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 10, 2025, at White Funeral Home, Independence; and continue for an hour before services, Saturday, at the funeral home. Dillon was born May 4, 1992, in Fairfax County, VA, the son of Timothy Joseph Moffatt and Vicki Sue (Anderson) Moffatt. The family moved to Ohio when Dillon was young, before moving to Iowa to be closer to family. He graduated from East Buchanan High School in Winthrop, IA, with the class of 2010. He continued his education at Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo, IA, where he graduated from the Automotive Technology program. On September 16, 2017, he was united in marriage to Nicolette Rose “Nicki” Bethune in Independence. They made their home in Hazleton and Dillon worked at Iowa Transmission Rebuilders in Independence. Dillon was an amazing father and husband. He was a dedicated son and hard worker, and always willing to help others. Dillon loved all things outdoors, whether it was fishing, hiking, shooting, riding 4-wheelers, motorcycles, playing sports – he loved it all. He enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles and liked to attend gun shows. Dillon loved his kids more than anything! He shared his love of sports with them, even at a young age. He enjoyed helping them learn and grow, and he was always encouraging them to do their best. Dillon is survived by his loving wife, Nicolette Moffatt of Hazleton, IA; four children at home, Aubree Moffatt, Brantley Moffatt, Cailee Moffatt, and Mackenzee Moffatt; his parents, Tim and Vicki Moffatt of Independence, IA; paternal grandmother, Evelyn (Robert) Riddell of Springfield, SC; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Thelma Anderson; and his paternal grandfather, Albert Moffatt. Memorials may be directed to the family.
