White Funeral Home JESUP - Beulah Marie “BOOTS” Willett, 86 years old of Jesup, IA, and formerly of Cedar Falls, IA, died Thursday, October 31, 2024, at MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center in Waterloo, IA. Memorial services will be held 7:00 p.m. - Sunday, November 10, 2024, at the Cedar Falls Women’s Club in Cedar Falls, Coffee and dessert to follow. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. – Friday, November 8, 2024, at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, with graveside committal at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Greenwood Cemetery, Cedar Falls. Boots was born September 5, 1938, in Buffalo Township of Buchanan County, IA, at Aurora, the daughter of Cecil Rhodes Slater and Jessie Alfhild (Hodges) Slater. She graduated from East Buchanan High School in 1956, and later enhanced her education with business classes. In 1957, she was united in marriage to Lyle Bare in Winthrop, IA. Three children blessed this marriage. Following divorce, Boots married Robert Aldrich in 1974, in Minnesota. They later divorced. In 1990, she married Jack R. Willett in Cedar Falls, IA. He preceded her in death in 2013. Boots worked in the banking and lending industry as a financial manager for many years. She also owned and operated her own business; “Baking by Boots”. Boots is survived by one son, Mark Bare of Elgin, IL; two daughters, Debra (Matthew) Van Pelt of Oak Harbor, WA, Patricia (James) McIntosh of Dunkerton, IA; 9 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; one brother, Robert Slater of Dothan, AL. Many Nieces and Nephews, including a special niece, Kathi (Thayne) Benz of Manchester, IA that she raised. In addition to her husband, Jack Willett; her parents; three great grandchildren, Kanen McIntosh, Zeke Hansen, Everley McIntosh; two sisters, Margaret Roepke and Mildred Boeckman; and one brother John Slater; preceded her in death. White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, is in charge of the arrangements. |
