White Funeral Home DUNKERTON - Norman Neil Clubine, 85 years old, of Dunkerton, IA, died of natural causes, Friday, October 18, 2024. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. - Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the Dunkerton Methodist Church in Dunkerton, IA, with burial at the Fairview Cemetery in Dunkerton. Military honors will be accorded by the Peter-Kress American Legion Post #636 of Dunkerton. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 25, 2024, at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, and will continue for an hour before services, Saturday, at the church in Dunkerton. Norman was born February 23, 1939, in Waterloo, IA, the son of Ralph Neil Clubine and Maude Katherine (Kennison) Clubine. He attended school at Dunkerton High School and was proud of being part of the Army reserves before officially joining the United States Army in 1958. He proudly served his country and was awarded the Expert Rifle M1 badge. On May 29, 1960, he was united in marriage to Carolyn Jane Miller at the First United Methodist Church in Dunkerton. The couple raised their family on the farm in rural Dunkerton, where they were active members of the community. Norm was a farmer through and through. He worked hard and loved his family and community. He officially retired from the farm in 2002. Norm was a 4H leader, member of the Dunkerton Coop Board, Dunkerton Men’s Business Club, and the Dunkerton Lions Club, and the Iowa Simmental Association. He was a member of the Dunkerton Methodist Church. Norm is survived by four daughters, Catherine (Robert, Jr.) Rigdon of Dunkerton, Carma (Stewart) May of Jesup, IA, Carla (Tom Hill) Clubine of St. Paul Park, MN, Carol (Robert) Westendorf of Radcliffe, IA; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three step grandchildren, four step great grandchildren; one step great great grandson; one brother Clair Clubine of Dunkerton; one brother-in-law, James Miller of Fairbank; and a multitude of grand fur babies that he loved dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carolyn; one infant sister, Mildred Alice Clubine; and two sisters – in – law, Ann Clubine and Linda Miller. Memorials may be directed to the family to be given to organizations important to Norm. White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, is in charge of arrangements.
