Cedar Falls - William Joseph “Bill” Burns, 83 years old, of Cedar Falls, IA, died Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Harmony-Waterloo, in Waterloo, IA.

Graveside Services will be 12:45 p.m. - Thursday, November 14, 2024, at St. Mary's Cemetery in Masonville, IA.

William Joseph Burns was born April 7, 1941, in Masonville, IA, the son of William Francis “Frank” Burns and Veronica Margaret (Moran) Burns. His family moved to Jesup around 1944, and he graduated from Jesup High School in 1959. On February 22, 1974, he was united in marriage to Judy Carol Zuber at St. Athanasius Catholic Church in Jesup, IA. Bill worked in Cedar Falls, IA, at American Color Imaging, and had a strong interest in technology. He loved to travel with Judy and he enjoyed gardening, studying astronomy, and collecting clocks. Bill proudly served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Judy; his parents; and one sister, Shirley Burns.
