JESUP - Thomas Edward Kresser, 80 years old of Independence, Iowa, formerly of Waterloo, IA, and Prairie du Chien, WI, died Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Homestead, Rochester, MN.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. – Saturday, October 5, 2024, at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Jesup, IA, with Fr. John Gossman as Celebrant.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 4, 2024, at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, where there will be a rosary at 4:00 p.m. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Saturday, at the church. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Tom was born February 10, 1944, in Waterloo, IA, the son of Francis Edward Kresser and Irma Catherine (Schmit) Kresser. He graduated from Don Bosco High School in Gilbertville, IA, with the class of 1962. On May 21, 1966, he was united in marriage to Sally Ann Carpenter in Waterloo. Tom was a plumber until retirement.

Tom is survived by two daughters, Shelly (Marty) King of Olathe, KS, Kerri (Fred) Schutte of Byron, MN; 6 grandchildren, Quinton (Joni) King, Tommy (Dakota) King, Griffin (Annalee) King, Bryce (Brie) Schutte, McKenzie Schutte, Noah Schutte; 4 great grandchildren, Caroline, Preston, Josie, Davis; also, three brothers, Kenny (Marge) Kresser of Waterloo, Rick (Joan) Kresser of Raymond, Joe (Lynette) Kresser of Independence; three sisters, Mary Ireland of Cedar Rapids, Sharon (Jim) Collier of Center Point, IA, Beverly (Pat) Murphy of Lansing, IA; and sister-in-law, Jackie Kresser of Jesup; His parents; wife, Sally; brother, Robert Kresser; and brother-in-law, Robert Ireland, preceded him in death.
