White Funeral Home DUNKERTON - Barbara Jean Musch, 88 years old of Dunkerton, IA, died Sunday, August 25, 2024, at the Denver Sunset Home, Denver, IA. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. – Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the First Baptist Church, Dunkerton with burial at Fairview Cemetery in Dunkerton. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Friday, August 30, 2024, at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Saturday at the church. Memorials may be directed to the family. Online condolences may be posted at www.White-MtHope.com Barbara was born October 28, 1935, in Northwood, IA, the daughter of Ray Saltou and Evelyn (Hart) Saltou. She graduated from Grundy Center High School, Grundy Center, IA, with the class of 1953. On November 20, 1953, she was united in marriage to Ralph DALE Dinnes in Grundy Center, IA. He preceded her in death on April 21, 1996. On September 12, 1998, she married James Duane “Jimmy” Musch at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, IA. Barbara was a homemaker and farm wife. She also had worked at law offices, the University Book Store, and the Western Home. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dunkerton. Barbara is survived by her husband, Jimmy Musch of Dunkerton; three daughters, Debbie (Kurt) Reynolds of North Liberty, IA, Connie Gonzales of Hendersonville, TN, Nancy (Dan) Hemann of Parkersburg, IA; one son, Dana (Grace) Dinnes of Ames, IA; a daughter-in-law, Jill Dinnes of Davenport, IA; 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; two brothers, Ray (Pat) Saltou of Riceville, IA, Jimmy (Dorothy) Saltou of Waukon, IA; two sisters, Betty (Mern) Swancutt of LeRoy, MN, Linda Brown of Lime Springs, IA; a sister-in-law, Barbara Saltou of Utah; also, 4 step sons, Mark Musch of Great Bend, KS, Jon (Irma) Musch of Ft. Worth, TX, Todd Musch of Marietta, GA, Andrew (Rosaline) Musch of Dunkerton; 11 step-grandchildren; 1 step great grandchild, and 1 step great great-grandchild. In addition to her first husband, Ralph Dale Dinnes; she was preceded in death by one son, Ralph Dale Dinnes, Jr (August 1, 2009); two grandchildren, Austin Tjepkes and Whitney Tjepkes; one sister LaRae Kleckner and two brothers, Daryl and Charles Saltou.
