JESUP – Betty “Diane” Youngblut, 68 years old of Jesup, IA, died, Wednesday, February 21, 2024, surrounded by family at her home.

There are no services planned at this time.

Diane was born May 3, 1955, in Waterloo, IA, the daughter of Iler Mae (Harrison) Barker. She and her husband, Jim, met in 1978, and have been together 46 years. Diane worked as a salesclerk at WalMart for several years and had also worked at Triangle Plastics in Independence, IA.

Diane is survived by her husband, James “Jim” Youngblut of Jesup; two daughters, Amy (Tim Squires) Youngblut of Washburn, IA, and Kristin Youngblut (Andrew Gelbowitz) of Jesup; three grandchildren, Kate Weber, Nick Thome and Joellen Gelbowitz; 2 great grandchildren, Harper and Lane Weber; one brother, Terry Burens of Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by her mother; two brothers, Monroe and Johnny Barker; and one granddaughter, Angela Marie Youngblut.
