JESUP – Dorthea Darlene “Dorothy” Krusemark, 80 years old of Jesup, IA, died Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at ABCM Rehabilitation Center – West Campus, Independence, IA.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. – Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at the First United Methodist Church, Jesup, with burial at Cedar Crest Cemetery, Jesup.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. – Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, and for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.  Memorials may be directed to the family.  Online condolences may be posted at www.White-MtHope.com

Dorothy was born July 18, 1943, in Runnells, IA, the daughter of William Uitermarkt and Margaret (Oliver) Uitermarkt.  She graduated from high school in Oskaloosa, IA.  On March 3, 1963, she was united in marriage to Jerry Dean Krusemark in Oskaloosa.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Jesup, a member of Eastern Star and enjoyed family and friends whenever possible.

Dorothy is survived by one daughter, Julie (Scott) Close of Jesup; two sons, Joel (Krissa) Krusemark of Ankeny, IA, Justin Krusemark of Jesup; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; two brothers, Rod Hampton of Knoxville, IA, Victor Hampton of Oskaloosa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry; one granddaughter, Lindsey Krusemark and one brother, Willard “Bud” Uitermarkt.
