DUNKERTON – Connie Lou Stumme, 77 years old of Dunkerton, IA, died Sunday, October 22, 2023, at MercyOne Medical Center, Des Moines, IA.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. – Thursday, October 26, 2023, at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, with burial at Fairview Cemetery, Dunkerton.  Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 25^th at the funeral home.  Memorials may be directed to the family.  Online condolences may be posted at www.White-MtHope.com.

Connie was born September 13, 1946, in Manchester, IA, the daughter of Robert Arthur McGarvey and Lois M. (Flaucher) McGarvey.  She attended school in Dunkerton.  On March 14, 1964, she was united in marriage to Darrel Elmer Stumme at the Little Brown Church, in Nashua, IA.  They made their home in Dunkerton to raise their family.  Connie was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dunkerton.  She loved to dance, play card games with her sisters, sewing and was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Connie is survived by two sons, Kelly (Kimberly) Stumme of Dunkerton, Chris Stumme (Mandie) of La Porte City, IA; three grandchildren, Krystal (Andrew) Hauersperger, Alex (Leslie) Stumme, Austin Stumme; three great grandchildren, Avery and Evelyn Hauersperger, William Elmer Stumme; five sisters, Karen Knebel of Dunkerton, Cheryl Rigdon of Newhall, IA, Denise Meyer of Waterloo, IA, Patricia (Rob) McMahon of Dunkerton, Shelly (Joel) Rathe of Waterloo; and one brother, Ronald (Fran) McGarvey.

Her father and mother; her husband (December 9, 2004) and two sisters, Kathy McGarvey and Debra Lindquist preceded her in death.
