Online condolences may be posted at www.White-MtHope.com Don was born January 4, 1956, in Independence, IA, the son of Stanley Dale Bohling and Imelda “Mel” Margarette (Niemann) Bohling. He was a graduate of Don Bosco High School in Gilbertville in 1974. He married Deborah Bush in January 1981, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. They later divorced. He and his life partner, Marla Bonebrake have been together the past 32 years. Don worked for his father at the gas station and then worked in construction. He began driving a truck for Aspro and later became an independent truck driver. He took a great deal of pride in the construction projects and even dabbled in building furniture. Don is survived by his life partner, Marla Bonebrake of Jesup; 2 daughters, Melissa (Fermin) Miranda of Waterloo, Audra (Carl) Schilling of Jesup; one step daughter, Nicole Bonebrake (Mikey Lott) of Bellingham, WA, one step son, Chapin Bonebrake of Shell Rock, IA; 2 step grandchildren Macy Bonebrake and Judah Lott; one brother, David Bohling (Pat Berry) of Lexington, MO. His parents preceded him in death. White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, is in charge of the arrangements. |
