Marion – Bernard Rose, 67 years old, of Marion, Iowa, formerly of Independence, Iowa, died on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  He was born in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of John and Mary Lee (Hope)  Rose.  He attended school in St. Louis.  On May 5, 1975, he and the former Michele Coventry were married in Independence, Iowa.  They divorced in 2006.  Mr. Rose was a minister before he became disabled.  He enjoyed fishing, singing and playing the guitar and keyboard.

Mr. Rose is survived by 1 son, Kory (Rachel) Rose of Waterloo, Iowa, 3 granddaughters, Jaeyln, Shelda, and Braeyln, and several brothers and sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, and 1 sister.
