Independence – Marleen R. Clough, 75 years old, of Independence, Iowa, died on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at her home.  She was born on May 20, 1942, in Perry Iowa, the daughter of Andrew “Jack” and Evelyn Marie (Bennett) Salocker.  She graduated from high school in Dennison, Iowa, with the Class of 1960.  On April 10, 1965, she and Keith “Casey” Edward Clough were married at the 1^st Christian Church in Perry, Iowa.  He preceded her in death in 2011.  Mrs. Clough was a secretary at Geater Manufacturing in Independence until she retired.  She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Independence.  Mrs. Clough was also a volunteer at the Independence High School.

Mrs. Clough is survived by 1 son, Brent (Kelly) Clough of Independence, Iowa, 1 daughter, Lindy (Mike) Towlerton of Dubuque, Iowa, 5 grandchildren, Camden Clough, Brady Cooper, Kaitlin Hughes, Alyssa Hughes, and Rylan Towlerton, and 1 brother, Rick (Mary) Salocker of Ft. Dodge, Iowa.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and a dear aunt, Leona “Bonsy” Salocker.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at the First United Methodist Church in Independence with Rev. Scott Meador officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Independence.  Friends may call for visitation from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 26^th, at the White Funeral Home in Independence.
