Center Point -  Cynthia R. Scott, 62 years old, of Center Point, Iowa, died at her home in Center Point on September 28, 2016. She was born on February 24, 1954, in Dewitt, Iowa, the daughter of Joe Alan and Joan Rose (McDonnell) Dunn.  She graduated from high school in Moline, Illinois, in 1972.  She earned a B.A. degree from Mt. Mercy in 1992, and a M.A. in rehabilitation counseling from the University of Iowa in 1994.  On September 1, 1973, she and Mike William Scott were married in Independence, Iowa.  She retired from Rockwell Collins in 2011 where she was a test technician.  She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Center Point, the I.B.E.W. Local #1362, and the Civil Air Patrol.  She enjoyed time spent woodworking, scrap booking, sewing, painting, and taking pictures.

Mrs. Scott is survived by her husband of 43 years, Mike, 1 daughter, Michelle (Lee Johnson) Scott of Swisher, 3 sons, Nicholas (Sarah) Scott and Lucas (Megan Smith) Scott, both of Cedar Rapids, and Brandon (Taylor) Scott of Center Point, and 8 grandchildren.  She is also survived by 3 brothers, Joe (Theresa) Dunn of Camanche, Brian (Amy) Sheridan of Walcott, and Archie Rose of Moline, Illinois, and 4 sisters, Kathie Reisdorph of Grand Island, Nebraska, Cheryl (Melvin) Six of Fairview Heights, Illinois, Lori Brice of San Antonio, Texas, and Arlette Crowe of Moline, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 3, at the White Funeral Home in Independence, with Rev. Larry Daubs officiating.  Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery in Independence at a later date.  Friends may call for visitation from1 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 2^nd, at the funeral home.
