Independence – Kale Richard Johnson and Ray Joseph Johnson, infant sons of Sean Lewis and Jill Marie (Vogel) Johnson were born on January 27, 2016, in Manchester, Iowa.  Kale died on Friday, January 29, 2016, and Ray died on Sunday, January 31, 2016, both at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.

They are survived by their parents, Jill and Sean Johnson of Independence, Iowa, 1 sister, Danika Johnson of Independence, their maternal grandparents, Kris and Joe Vogel of Jesup, Iowa, and their paternal grandparents, Leslie and Rick Johnson of Independence.  They are also survived by great grandparents, Jim Vogel of Jesup, Beverly and Bob Preuss of Independence, Lois Johnson of Waterloo, Iowa, and Elaine and Frederick Franck of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

They were preceded in death by great grandparents, Robert Johnson, Elaine Vogel, and Cleo and Ray Youngblut, 1 uncle, Ryan Johnson, and 1 cousin Hannah Pint.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Independence with Deacon Tim Post officiating.  Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Independence.  Friends may call from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m.on Saturday, Feb. 6^th, at the White Funeral Home in Independence.
