Cedar Rapids – Mildred L. Foust Feuerhelm Wells, 90 years old, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, formerly of Quasqueton, died on Wednesday, November 23, 2011, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids.  She was born on October 11, 1921, in Walker, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Ella Mae (Butterfield) Cady.  She attended school in Quasqueton, Iowa.  On August 24, 1940, she and Orval Foust were married in Quasqueton.  They later divorced.  She married Kenneth Feuerhelm and he preceded her in death.  She later married Melvin Wells in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and they were later divorced.  Mrs. Wells was a restaurant cook for a time before she started working at Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids.  She was an inspector and worked on equipment for the NASA Apollo missions.  She retired in 1994 after 22 years with the company.  In her early years, she toured the vaudeville circuit with her family.  She was very musical and could play most any instrument.  She also enjoyed sewing and quilting.  She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Mrs. Wells is survived by 2 daughters, Zelda Cornwell of Winterhaven, Florida, and Wendy Dughi of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, 2 sons, Michael (Genoveva) Foust and Dale (Kay) Foust, both of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, 9 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.  She is also survived by 2 brothers, Clifford (Mary) Cady of Iowa City, Iowa, and Stanley Cady of Mississippi, and 3 sisters, Rose Etta Andrews of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Leona Shockman of Washington, and Charlotte (Johnny) Lundholm of Mankato, Minnesota.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, 1 daughter, Gail Powers, 1 son, Jerry Foust, 1 sister, Luella Rasmussen, and 3 brothers, Royal Cady, Leo Cady, and William Cady.

Memorial Services will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2011, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  Burial will be in Walker Cemetery in Walker, Iowa.  Friends may call for visitation from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday, November 27th, at the White Funeral Home in Independence, Iowa.
