Jesup – LeRoy Joseph Even, 64 years old and formerly of rural Jesup, IA, died Saturday, June 25, 2011, at the Rehabilitation Center of Allison, where he was a resident.  He was born January 27, 1947 in Waterloo, son of Cletus John Even and Maxine Elizabeth (Phillips) Even.  LeRoy lived at Woodward and then at the Allison nursing home.  He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters.

Survived by: his mother, Maxine of Raymond; eight brothers, Larry (Brenda) Even of Washburn, Ken (Sharon) Even and Fritz (Penny) Even all of Waterloo, David (Karen) Even of Jesup, Eugene (Paula) Even and Leo (Vickie) Even all of Gilbertville, Ron (Angie) Even of Meservey and Jeff (Sue) Even of Jesup; and five sisters, Rose (Robert) Voigt of Raymond, Sue Norem of Gilbertville, Carol (Kyle) Berry of Dewar, Diana (Mike) Hogan of Eagan, MN and Laurie (Larry) Mishler of Jesup; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: his father, Cletus; two brothers, Randy Joe and Cletus Jr.; and a brother-in-law, LaVerne Norem, one niece, Andrea Even and one nephew, Patrick Even.

Funeral services will be  10:30 a.m. Tuesday – June 28, 2011, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Gilbertville, IA, with Fr. Henry Huber as Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Gilbertville.   Music will be by Sue Davis, organist and the Immaculate Conception Choir.  The Lector will be Sharon Even. Gift Bearers will be Rose Voigt, Sue Norem, Carol Berry, Diana Hogan and Laurie Mishler.  Casket Bearers will be Larry, Ken, Fritz, David, Eugene, Leo, Ron and Jeff Even.

Public visitation from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, with a 5 p.m. Catholic Order of Foresters rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service at White Funeral Home in Jesup.  Visitation also for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Cedar Valley Hospice or Allison Nursing Home.
