Dunkerton – Teri S. Bagby, 62 years old, of Dunkerton, Iowa, died on Saturday, August 5, 2017 in Independence, Iowa.

She was born on August 6, 1955, in Independence, the daughter of Bud and Pat (Meggers) Axline. She graduated from high school in Independence with the Class of 1973.  On December 1, 1973, she and Tom John Bagby were married at St. John’s Catholic Church in Independence.  He preceded her in death in 2014. Mrs. Bagby was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church – Barclay, Dunkerton, Iowa, and was formerly a member of the Dunkerton Fire Department.  She enjoyed her grandchildren, cooking and canning, and camping at Backbone State Park.

Mrs. Bagby is survived by 2 daughters, Traci Fettkether of Independence, Trisha Martin of Clarksville, Iowa; 2 sons, Travis (Amanda) Bagby of Lisbon, Iowa, and Trent Bagby of Dunkerton; 9 grandchildren; her parents, Pat and Bud Axline of Independence; and 2 sisters, Gale (David) Harris of Florida, and Billie (Tom) Zimmerly of Independence.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 1 sister, Jodi Axline.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 9th, at the White Funeral Home in Independence.  Her cremated remains will be buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Independence.
